What makes your mentors qualified to teach ESL?
Our mentors are selected based on their experience and teaching skills, not just qualifications. They are adept at creating engaging, effective lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles. In addition, we offer continuous professional development programs for our mentors to stay relevant and skilled at what they do best!
How long are my hours valid for?
For packages between 5-15 hours, you have 6 months to schedule and use your hours.
For packages of 20 hours or more, you have 1 year (12 months) to schedule and use your hours.
Exceptions are considered on a case by case basis or agreed upon at the beginning of the recent package purchase
Do you offer any personalized learning plans?
Yes, we offer personalized learning plans tailored to your unique learning goals, strengths, and weaknesses, ensuring a more effective and personalized learning experience.
Where do I pay and schedule classes?
We use Tutorbird, a student management system, where you can find and pay your invoices, see your calendar and make changes if necessary. Once you finish your onboarding call, we will add you to Tutorbird and send you an invitation email with your login and password. Invoices will be automatically sent and you can pay securely from the invoice via Stripe or you have to option to pay via paypal or bank deposit.
If you have a fixed schedule, we will add it to the calendar for you. If you have a flexible schedule, you will schedule your own classes according to what is available on your mentor's calendar.
Is there a trial class available before I enroll?
We do not offer a full free trial class but you will have an onboarding meeting with Christina to guage your level and talk more about your goals and needs. This meeting will be 10-15 mins in length. You will be matched with a mentor and able to view their introduction video prior to starting classes.
How do I track my progress in the course?
Progress is tracked through regular assessments, feedback sessions, and personalized reports from your mentors, keeping you informed of your improvements and areas for growth.
Are there any resources available for students outside of class?
Yes, we provide various AI-powered tools and resources to aid your learning outside of class hours, ensuring continuous progress and practice. In addition, your mentors will provide materials used during class and send additional resources when requested and necessary.
How do your courses incorporate VR/AR technology?
Although this service isn't currently available, we hope to offer this for interested students in tne very near future.
